The Sheridan County Economic Development Corporation and Sheridan County Community Foundation are pleased to invite all area residents and visitors to the annual Winterfest 2024 celebration in downtown Hoxie on Friday, Nov. 29 from 6 to 8 p.m.
Grab your family and friends and plan to enjoy a wonderful day of shopping, an afternoon movie, food, fellowship, hayrack rides, crafts, and family fun in beautiful downtown Hoxie as we kick off the holiday season the day after Thanksgiving.

3:30 p.m., FREE MATINEE MOVIE: " The Star - The Story of the First Christmas,” Hoxie High School Auditorium – Sponsored by AmberMed. A free bag of candy and a water bottle will be provided.
6 p.m., CHRISTMAS LIGHTING, Main Street, next to First State Bank
Gather near the downtown center (Main St & Sheridan Ave) as we "count down" and "flip the switch" on the Christmas lights and ornaments with the assistance of Santa Claus.
6 to 8 p.m., FOOD AND FELLOWSHIP, Main Street
Enjoy strolling down Main Street shopping, eating, drinking and being "merry"!
Be sure to stop by Bottle KAP Studios to get your photos with Santa and pick up a candy bag decorated by the Hoxie Elementary School students. The candy bags are made possible with support from Heim TV & Appliance, Watkins Realty & Insurance Agency, LLC, and Hirsch & Abbott Law Office.
Bundle up and enjoy hayrack rides provided by Sealock Inc. and HP Rafter Lazy T Ranch, LLC. Loading and unloading will occur in front of First State Bank.
The "Babes in Toyland" will want to climb aboard the "Santa Express" train provided by Hoxie Hot Rodders running along Sheridan Avenue.
Grab a loved one and warm up by the bonfires located on Sheridan and Main. Oscar’s and Christ Community Church (located inside 7 Rhodes Beef) will be providing complimentary s’more kits to enjoy at the bonfire.
8 p.m., PRIZE DRAWINGS, Main Street, next to First State Bank
NEW THIS YEAR…pick up a Vendor map and get stamps from at least four of the participating businesses/organizations. Then, return your completed map to First State Bank to become eligible for the prize drawings to take place at 8 p.m. in front of the bank. Must be present to win.
