More than half raised for Foundation's Match Month campaign

To date, $46,455.22 has been raised as part of the Sheridan County Community Foundation’s annual November Match Month Campaign.

This year, the goal is to raise $70k locally which will be matched $1 for $1, up to $50k by the Dane G. Hansen Foundation, Logan, and up to $70k by the Patterson Family Foundation, Kansas City.

“We are well on our way to reaching the $70k goal,” said Karl Pratt, SCCF Executive Director. “More than 50 donors have generously contributed to the campaign so far. We are so thankful for their support in helping us grow the large ‘Cultivate Sheridan County’ endowment fund which will have the potential to grant $50k annually to area organizations bettering Sheridan County in perpetuity once it has grown to $1 million in principal funding!”

The Foundation has participated in the challenge, which is sponsored by the Hansen Foundation, for the past seven years, reaching and surpassing the local fundraising goal each year, respectively.

The history of the successful campaigns is as follows:

  • March 2017 ($83,640.00)

  • March 2018 ($67,343.89)

  • November 2018 ($57,816.11)

  • November 2019 ($55,625.00)

  • November 2020 ($70,312.10)

  • November 2021 ($68,402.41)

  • November 2022 ($67,975.00)

No donation amount is too big or too small for this challenge. All with an affinity for Sheridan County and the communities therein are encouraged to contribute and help make a difference in the lives of those in the area for years to come. Donations can be mailed to SCCF, PO Box 445, Hoxie, KS 67740; dropped off at Pratt Law Office, 736 Main St., in Hoxie or online at www.gnwkcf.org/donate/sheridan-match.
